With over 20 years in UK dentistry leading an experienced team supporting some of the most prominent industry brands, over the last decade, Gemma and her team have been consistently and increasingly been met with requests of support from dental professionals with their PR questions and challenges.
With the public perception of dentistry at an all-time low (GDC, 2024), not helped by the many negative national news stories on NHS dentistry, Gemma and her team felt the impact this was having on the profession but also felt strongly that there was an hugely underutilised strength in PR and that this may just be the key to driving change and shifting perception.
By empowering and supporting a greater number of dental professionals to engage with strategic PR, not only could they help to improve public perception, but that by their connecting on a deeper level with their own communities that they would in turn raise their profile and build greater trust in their services - a win-win for patients, the individuals, the practices and the profession as a whole.
So - PR in Practice was born
PR in practice has been supported by leaders in PR, communication and dentistry and has been years in the making. This platform will continue to evolve to support dental professionals as the landscape evolves over the coming years and we hope to be the trusted support network that will open new doors when it comes to practice growth and greater community engagement.
We thank you for your commitment and however we evolve, we promise to stay true to our mission always.
